Her

Maybe right now it seems that, when the time comes, she will be easy to let go of.

But, one evening, as you sit alone and the clock hands reach for 8 pm. Your heart finally vacant of what you needed to let go of and your eyes fixed on the Savannah sunset slowly bleeding and blending into the skyline. Perhaps you’ll catch a hint of sweetness in the October air and notice that the shades of blue and the subtle sweeps of gray and green of the water make you remember the color of her eyes. And the gentle swaying.. calm, soft, peaceful.. reminds you, absolutely, of the way that she loved you.

That is when you’ll see her in your mind. In her entirety. For what she was. And your heart will wish you’d really seen her and all that could’ve been before she was gone.
