The Blood & The Bones

the day after
when the ash began to settle
we raised the flag
we held hands
and we swore to always remember
that feeling
that solidarity
we vowed to move forward
and into war
shoulder to shoulder
battling the enemy
a nation of all members of mankind
with no one left behind
together as one
knowing united we stand
divided we fall
and we must keep this promise
now more than ever
