finally.
I have been mine for so long
a solitary star
a singular being
that being owned
becoming someone’s someone
should feel foreign, unnatural to me
but with you it is easy
a natural progression
a slip into submission
as if I have never journeyed aimlessly
as if every road carried me
to this belonging
the blood
& the bones
We are balanced. His masculinity matches all that is feminine in me. It’s as if the pieces finally fit. My poetry has become a storyline when once it was just a memory. Trust, faith, safe, hope, love and finally home. These words now have meaning.
And when he tells me to come, to kneel, to bend, to give, to open, to submit.. “Yes Sir” simply falls from my lips. For now everything feels as if it is finally as it should be.
